1894 Overman Wheel Victor Model D High Frame Safety Bicycle Built during the early part of Grover Cleveland’s second administration. For many years preserved in a museum – now sympathetically restored to the very highest standards. Perfect for the discerning collector or a museum display. First year of the high frame for tall riders. Includes NOS, top of the line, factory option Salisbury Invincible oil lamp and New Departure Model B bell (works great). Other factory options: No. 14 Victor seat with original 125 year old leather plus original Victor pedal blocks. Custom made Robert Dean 28″ x 1.5″ pneumatic tires (all lettering removed) mounted on original Victor factory wooden rims with Victor trap door valve stem covers.. Original pedals stamped Overman Wheel Co. Boston and Aeollus Pat. Original leather wrapped handlebar grips. Additional photos on request. 1891 -1892 48 STAR HIGH WHEEL SAFETY ANTIQUE BICYCLE. Made by The H. Features hollow rims, roller bearing rear hub and forward arched handlebars. Needs repair work near the ends of the horizontal frame tubes where they bolt to the lower steering bracket over front forks. A complete bicycle that has been incorrectly chrome plated by the previous owner rather than being nickel plated as was originally done. I CAN BUILD A STRONG PLYWOOD CRATE FOR THE ADDITIONAL COST OF MATERIALS TO BUILD IT. 1880’s 36 JUNIOR HIGH WHEEL PENNY FARTHING TYPE ANTIQUE BICYCLE

This is a very rare survivor as it is a JUNIOR Penny Farthing Type HIGH WHEELER. It’s not a little bike – just not the huge size generally thought of in this style. The front wheel is 36 inches tall so it’s about 3/5ths size. Seat has been recovered with black leather. The bike was repainted long ago with Black Lacquer. This bike takes some skill at first to get up and going but the bike works fine. It’s up to you. Use it in your act or decorate your loft or business space. It’s Cool and priced for you. Not sure of the brand as the badge was removed for painting over 30 years ago, then misplaced. This bike hung on the wall of a bicycle shop for over 35 years. Now it’s time to have a new owner. 1889 FARRINGDON ORDINARY RATIONAL PATTERN high wheel bicycle Made by ELLIS & CO. This style high wheel bicycle is of the “rational pattern” meaning it has a larger rear wheel. It was produced by the same ELLIS & CO. That made the FACILE high wheel safety both of which shared the same larger 22 diameter rear wheel size that made this machine easier rolling and a joy for the rider who experienced less of the rear wheel drag of a smaller diameter wheel found on most high wheel bicycles. SEE THE LAST TWO PHOTOS SHOWING DESCRIPTIVE INFORMATION FROM AN ORIGINAL ADVERTISEMENT. The front wheel is 48″ diameter and the rear wheel is 22″ diameter. ABINGDON ball bearing steering head and neck. Tangential spoke pattern wheels. Hollow handle bars with 3 1/2 drop. One handle grip remaining. Like the FACILE it has double row ball bearings on each side of the front hub. Ball bearings to the rear hub and pedals (one pedal missing). Slotted adjustable throw pedal crank arms. Pan saddle is clamped onto backbone and was probably used for racing. Weight of bicycle is lighter than comparable high wheel bicycles of the era.. Extremely rare and hard to find surviving example of an antique bicycle made before last century. Antique 1888 Springfield Roadster Safety High Wheel Bicycle. Antique Springfield Roadster Safety Hi Wheel bike pretty sure from 1888 but may be 1889. This Bike is a nice representation of the last of the High Wheel / Penny Farthing / Ordinary era. Safety means the bike has a rake and consider safer the Original High Wheel / Ordinary bikes. Pedals and cranks work as a treadle, which is a pumping motion more than circular motion. Definitely advancements for the times, you can also coast on this bike. Springfield Roadster is the beginnings / related or becomes Lovell Diamond and further Iver Johnson Bicycles. I got this bike form a Large Iver Johnson collection buyout and have just been appreciating it. Bike is as received, is restored, seems good, but not my restoration work. This Ordinary is quite a bit out of my knowledge range and not my cup of tea so offering her up. Additional info and pictures are on the luxlowsite. The wheel and Tire rubber tip to rubber tip is 50 1/2 assuming a 50′ wheel bike, the treadle action is movable to accommodate multiple size riders.
