Victorian Era French High Classical Solid Bronze 17 Figural Cherub Candlesticks

For you to consider are a pair of antique solid bronze French Regency style figural cherub or putti candlesticks. An exquisitely cast pair dating to the late Victorian era, they are of substantial size and remarkable detail. A rich aged patina that’s mellowed with time enhances their antique appearance as well as the impressive and stately silhouette. Standing nearly 17 inches in height, each cherub stands on a plinth type base measuring 4 in diameter, and lifts a floral candle cup that’s cradled in a designated decorative foliate bobeche to catch excessive wax drippings. The round felted bases possibly stood on a marble pedestal or platform at one time, and if so these have been lost over the years. The bronze sculptural candleholders that remain are in beautiful heirloom condition, showing no signs of excessive use, damages, or compromising imperfections. Only their slight oxidation and aged patina is left behind to speak of their history. Wear is commensurate for age and use, so please review the photos as they are a descriptive part of the listing. Gorgeous Antique Solid Brass Ornate Medieval Victorian Parade Helmet. This piece is just gorgeous. It does display age-related wear, some paint Splatters throughout but very small white spots. It does not have the strap or what I think would be a feather of some sort that goes in the little hole on top. It is very, very ornate and unique and displays a lot of detail. This piece looks like it was made in two sections and then put together. It is almost 15 lb of solid brass. It depicts men that look like they are in a war in addition to animals and swords etc. This piece measures sitting flat approximately 14 in long and sits approximately 11 in tall and is approximately 8 in wide at its widest. Again, this is not mint condition. It is antique and very old but it does not look like it has had any damage or repairs. Just normal blemishes and wear and tear from age. This is in Excellent Condition with No Cracks. NOTE: there is a chip on one pinky and one tambourine zill (SEE pictures with pen). This has a slight wobble. Very Nice Antique Large German Parian Ware Statue. This is features a classical female in long flowing garments holding a tambourine. She leans against a tree stump in her bare feet. You have to look closely to see the fine details from the wavy hair to the texture of her garments. Parian ware porcelain was introduced about 1840 by the English firm of Copeland & Garrett, in imitation of. Sèvres biscuit (fired but unglazed porcelain). It’s name is derived from it’s resemblance to parian marble. This measures 15″ High x 6 1/4″ Wide at the widest point.
