This is a Charles Carmel, c. 1910 Coney Island style carousel horse, last operated at Marshall Hall Park in Maryland. Measures 54 from nose to rump. Professionally restored twenty years ago by a preservationist at R&F Design (who was then located within the New England Carousel Museum). Restoration made to show – rather than conceal – construction of horse, with dowels and cracks where the wood was joined to be visible. The item “Authentic, Antique CHAS.
