A beautiful antique European heavy leather outer case opens to reveal 4 gusseted compartments which are soft leather with cloth linings. Whether cigars, or to use as a purse or wallet, it’s in beautiful condition and has a locking clasp in silver metal (I don’t think it’s sterling). I’m unsure of maker origin. Full measurements noted on the photos. Very good to excellent condition for age and type, you can see a little wear to the corners but not so much. Very fine sturdy leather baffles (see images) and a nice clean interior. Perfect for cigars, or to use and a clutch purse. Use as a spectacles case or wallet or for your cigars. Antique Lemaire Paris Long Field Glasses Binoculars Brass w/ Leather Wrap 17 Used. Beautiful Antique Long Brass Field Glasses Binoculars. Made by Lemaire of Paris, France. Jappaned Brass, leather wrapped brass construction. Amazing Antique Display piece. Great addition for your collection! Condition: Great display condition! The leather wrapping shows some average wear expected from age, and the shade cover on one side has loose stitching. The jappaned brass show some mild scratching with a few areas of loss/exposed brass. There is some patina to the brass as well. The center wheel is tough to turn and requires a good amount of force to fully extend/detract. One objective lens shows moderate wear (see photos). The casing around one ocular lens is dented. New Jersey The last patent number on the tag inside the hat was filed April 15, 1960. There is also a decal on the outside. I was not able to figure out its meaning but appears to have a birth date and a death date. It weighs approximately 2 lbs 12 ounces. It is marked cairns142 grand st New York which is now the heart of Chinatown in modern NYC front piece is secure to the helmet all lettering present. Marked in brass on front of helmet inside as well as on the top vent in brass. Also label 21 and paper name tag of last name of helmet owner. Chick in white paint also applied.
