Here is a recent estate find. This is a Rare Antique 1897 British Infantry Officer’s Sword with Scabbard, Dated 1902, made by the Wilkinson Sword Company England. This came from an Infantry and Corps and Royal Marines Warrant Officer, and has a Very Rare Non Etched Blade, as pictured. The Blade is signed with Several British Markings including “Crown 49 W”. The “W” is for the Wilkinson Sword Company. The Sword Features a Wire Bound Fish Skin Grip, Mounted Onto An All Chequered Back Strap with Ornate Bowl Gaurd Featuring the Royal Cypher of Queen Victoria, with a Nice Aged Patina! The Underside of the Basket is Dated 1902. It is Signed 7 1902 A. This Comes with the Original Black Leather Service Scabbard, as Pictured. The Sword measures approx. 38 5/8″ Long with a 32 1/2″ Blade. The Total Length in the Scabbard is approx. There is Some Wear and Oxidation From Age, Overall Good Original Condition!!! This is a Great Historic Item with a Great Aged Patina!!! Don’t pass this one up, You won’t find one like this again!
