Antique German Silver Grapes Kugel Christmas Ornament

This authentic silver kugel glass Christmas ornament was made in Germany in the late 1800s. Rather than the standard round ball, it’s in the harder to find, uncommon oval grape cluster form, measuring 3-1/4 inches long by a little over 2 inches wide. The kugel has loss of the inner mercury silvering, causing a whitish coloring with the top shoulder having some transparency. The glass has no damage and I don’t see any bubbles in the heavy glass. The brass cap is the baroque 5 swirl with balls style. It has some verdigris but the cap is tight with no sliding. See my other listings for hundreds of antique and vintage Christmas items. Cloth and Cotton Batting make up most of the body, arms, legs, snowball. Separates in the middle revealing a small tube candy container. Base measures 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″, 10 tall. Antique beautiful German winter wonderland large musical Snow House filled with antique porcelain dolls and other accessories. A true fairy tale house to display all year, the house is one of a kind and extremely rare, not something you often see. The house contains many antique items from Erzgebirge. There are so many details in the house, angel dolls, sheep, sleigh, trees, tinsels and more 11 1/2″ w x 16 x 27 1/2″ t. C1920, although most items included are older. It has a music box, key wind mechanism. Comes from an old German collection. While in Europe recently we attended a lg antique event. Saw several varying condition & styles like this. It may be a day longer but doesn’t justify you, the customer paying more. I also recycle & save good boxes. Antique Green 46 German Goose Feather Christmas Tree

Item for your consideration is a rare 46 tall feather tree. It is stamped Made in Western Germany- Flame Resistant is stamped on base which dates it to post World War II to 1951-which were only available mailorder and very limited. The tree is 46 tall and 32 wide with a 7 base. The tree has most of its berries intact but some have lost their lacquer over the years. There are several loose branches: which is common and expected of these trees. Several branch tips are sparse- see photos for a picture of the worst example. The base is in great condition with very minimal knicks and paint loss. The tree is a harder to find tree from the post WW 2 years when very few trees were being imported into the USA market- and were only available by mailorder. Authentic Antique 48 German Christmas Goose Feather Tree with Metal Candle Cups. Authentic Antique German Goose Feather Christmas Tree with Handmade Wooden Base. It was made with a wooden center dowel and wire branches with green goose feathers attached. This tree is over 100 years old. A friend told me that most were tossed after electricity came into homes as lighting the trees with candles was not safe. It is in original condition and has had no restoration. It has lost some of the goose feathers. Some of the’bark’ on the center dowel has come off. I think that may have been paper. It could use a good cleaning. I like it just like it is, however, there are people that know how to restore them. One of the best is here in Dallas. Beautiful set of 9 Victorian ornaments. 2 silver/blue parasols, Cotton bird with Dresden wings attached to 4 gold bells with clappers and tinsel, double sided wire wrapped green indent with angel scrap on one side, green wire wrapped basket with tuck sheer flower and greens, wire wrapped turquoise double indent boat with twin Dresden sails, wired wrapped silver swan, green rattle with tinsel hanger and tuck sheer flower, and gold beaded fantasy ornament with wire wrapped ball and bell with clapper. There is some vintage paint and silvering loss, spotting and scratches, loose and broken wires, dark age spots, and creases/tears to die cuts. There may be a few with chipped pikes and some with no caps. Size range 4 7/8″ to 7 1/4″. A lovely Victorian set to add to your collection. Please contact me with any questions.
