Antique French Empire Baccarat Bronze Centerpiece. Antique original palace sized in all original condition brilliant deep diamond cut French Baccarat crystal with original dorè gilt ormolu bronze mounts on top of the original crystal centerpiece. Nicely tarnished, over 150 years old, the gold is exactly consistent with age. Naturally showing wear antiqued. Never reguilded, adding value to this heirloom. Crisp sharp detailing as is expected for original antiques: each individual toe can be seen. Meticulously detailed: flowing gown, ridged feathers on the wings. Please note the large size. 20.25″ tall x 12.5″ diameter. Even looks larger in person. From an estate on Long Island’s gold Coast which also included furniture by. Also included micro Mosaic marble. Antique 18th Century Ignatius Of Loyola Francis Xavier Bronze Hamerani Medal

All our listed items are original Christian devotionals. Some may have been cleaned or polished before their arrival, by their last caretaker. Their use is for personal devotion. Here from one of the Carmelite convents we work with is a rare 18th century bronze medal. Similar medals by the artist HAMERANI are in the Franciscan Museum in Rome as seen in the posted pictures. This medal measures approximately 2 inches, excluding loop. Condition – as seen in photographs. Saint Ignatius of Loyola c. 23 October 1491 – 31 July 1556 was a Spanish Basque Catholic priest and theologian, who founded the religious order called the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) and became its first Superior General at Paris in 1541. The Jesuit order served the Pope as missionaries, and they were bound by a vow of special obedience to the sovereign pontiff regarding the missions. They therefore emerged as an important force during the time of the Counter-Reformation. Ignatius is remembered as a talented spiritual director. He recorded his method in a celebrated treatise called the Spiritual Exercises, a simple set of meditations, prayers, and other mental exercises, first published in 1548. Ignatius was beatified in 1609, and then canonized, receiving the title of Saint on 12 March 1622. (7 April 1506 – 3 December 1552), was a Roman Catholic missionary, who was a co-founder of the Society of Jesus. Born in Javier was a companion of Saint Ignatius of Loyola and one of the first seven Jesuits who took vows of poverty and chastity at Montmartre, Paris, in 1534. He led an extensive mission into Asia, mainly in the Portuguese Empire of the time and was influential in evangelization work, most notably in India. He also was the first Christian missionary to venture into Japan, Borneo, the Maluku Islands, and other areas. In those areas, struggling to learn the local languages and in the face of opposition, he had less success than he had enjoyed in India. Xavier was about to extend his missionary preaching to China when he died on Changchun Island. He was beatified by Pope Paul V on 25 October 1619 and canonized by Pope Gregory XV on 12 March 1622. In 1624 he was made co-patron of Navarre. Known as the “Apostle of the Indies” and “Apostle of Japan”, he is one of the greatest missionaries since Saint Paul. This pair of alabaster garnitures was found in France. Each one has a weathered alabaster base with bronze accents and a bronze top with gold accents. Each top has leaf and vine decoration of its sides with leaf and vine handles. The condition of the urns is good, except for the obvious weathering of the alabaster. Victorian Era French High Classical Solid Bronze 17 Figural Cherub Candlesticks

For you to consider are a pair of antique solid bronze French Regency style figural cherub or putti candlesticks. An exquisitely cast pair dating to the late Victorian era, they are of substantial size and remarkable detail. A rich aged patina that’s mellowed with time enhances their antique appearance as well as the impressive and stately silhouette. Standing nearly 17 inches in height, each cherub stands on a plinth type base measuring 4 in diameter, and lifts a floral candle cup that’s cradled in a designated decorative foliate bobeche to catch excessive wax drippings. The round felted bases possibly stood on a marble pedestal or platform at one time, and if so these have been lost over the years. The bronze sculptural candleholders that remain are in beautiful heirloom condition, showing no signs of excessive use, damages, or compromising imperfections. Only their slight oxidation and aged patina is left behind to speak of their history. Wear is commensurate for age and use, so please review the photos as they are a descriptive part of the listing. Hunting Reliquary / Patinated Bronze, Late Nineteenth Century. Hunting reliquary in black patinated bronze in the shape of a house. The enamels here are champlevé: light blue, blue, bright red, milky white, green. The edge of the roof is surmounted by a ridge line pierced with door motifs. Each end of the ridge is adorned with a ball antenna, an antenna in the middle. He sides and the roof are decorated in enamel with biblical scenes from the Old Testament, in particular episodes of the exodus of the Hebrew people from Egypt, the murder of Abel by Caine. Work from the end of the 19th century, trace of an old label on the reverse of the Hunt. Length: 14.7 cm Height: 16.5 cm Width: 8 cm Weight: 1165 g. In good condition as on the photos.
