This the Airline model 62-425 made in 1936 by the Belmont people for the Montgomery Wards stores. It is a “put anywhere” size of 10″ long x 7.5″ tall x 6 deep. The radio’s cabinet has been recently refinished. The front has a Walnut veneer with a very nice speaker grill design well known for this model. There is a glass dial cover and nice dial bezel. The dial face and pointer are excellent. The radio has rounded corners and a very nicely designed top. The two original knobs have been cleaned, polished, and resealed. There is a dark mark on the top of the radio (front center) as you can see in the photo’s. There is a new Dial Lamp, new speaker grill cloth, and new Audio/Filter Capacitors. Chassis cleaned, all tubes tested, and the remainder of the components tested/adjusted and replaced if needed. Speaker provides excellent projection, tones, and clarity. This little radio has an Antenna pigtail at the rear of the radio which will required a few feet of wire to be attached for proper reception and performance. Reception and performance will depend on your location, antenna length, and signal strength. Excellent player here with no issues. This radio would look wonderful in you office or home on display.
