Just completed the restoration of this beautiful highly collectable 1941 tube radio. This the Crosley model 53TF. It is 13″ long x 8″ tall x 6.5 deep. The radio’s cabinet is refinished and has wonderful wood grains, colors, and walnut veneers. The radio has rounded top edges, a beautiful top, and pin striping around the entire cabinet. The three original knobs have been cleaned, polished, and resealed. The framed in dial face and pointer are very nice and the pointer works as required. There is a new Dial Cover, new Dial Lamp, new AC Power Cord, and new Audio/Filter Capacitors. Chassis cleaned, 5 tubes tested, and the remainder of the components tested/adjusted and replaced if needed. Speaker provides excellent projection, tones, and clarity. This radio also features a built in “LOOP” Antenna which eliminates the need for an external wire/antenna. Excellent player here with no issues.
