Vintage Timor Dirty Dozen British WWW Military Watch 1945

This is a Timor Dirty Dozen W. W Military Watch which dates back to 1945 and comes from the first line of non-civilian wristwatches worn by the British military. The Dirty Dozen was the name given to a group of 12 similarly-styled watches worn by British soldiers at the time of WWII, which were commissioned from 12 companies by the British Ministry of Defence. The twelve companies are as follows: Buren, Cyma, Eterna, Grana, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Lemania, Longines, IWC, Omega, Record, Timor, and Vertex. Each company delivered as many watches as their manufacturing would allow. Of a total of roughly 145,000 watches, an estimated 13,000 were manufactured by Timor. The watches needed to be accurate, reliable and durable, which in watchmaking terms meant they had to be regulated to chronometer standards, and also be waterproof and shockproof. The watches also had to have a black dial, Arabic numerals, luminous hour and minute hands, luminous hour markers, a railroad minute track, a shatterproof crystal, and a stainless-steel case. Powering them would be 15-jewel movements, measuring between 11.75 and 13 lignes. 36.5mm (40mm including crown). Marked: TIMOR WWW K 3173 33073. Vintage WWII BRITISH MILITARY ANTI GLARE GOGGLES with AMBER SAFETY LENSES & CASE

A Pair of Vintage World War Two Era. Having Leather as opposed to Fabric Surrounds these are an early example of this Type of Goggles. As employed in WWII by various branches of the Military, both British and Allies. Fabric Head-Strap intact, not elasticated, strong and serviceable. Amber Tinted Glass Laminated Lenses with supple Brown Leather Surrounds. Each Lens consists of two Pieces of Glass sandwiching an adhesive Amber Tinted Film, this also acts as a safety feature to minimize the spread of Glass fragments in case of breakage. Lenses are in excellent condition, with only very minor peripheral de-lamination in places as shown clearly, with only slight signs of age and use, no major damage, no visible scratches, no chips or cracks. Both Lenses are firmly in situ. There is nothing that compromises the view in use, the Amber tint is about the same as Sunglasses, not too dark and very effective. The Supple Brown Leather. Surrounds show only very minor patina of age and use, they have no major damage, splits or structural issues, they are vented to prevent the Lenses from misting up when worn. The Eye Surrounds are Sprung on an Internal Wire Frame, this is working as designed, they sit snugly against the Face. For a more comfortable and stable fit. All the stitching, seams etc are intact and strong. The Silver Metalwork is all structurally sound with just surface patination of age and use, it has no major damage or structural issues, no rot, dents, cracks or breaks. Vintage old wood antique tube radio FIRESTONE AIR CHIEF Stunning piece here

This is the 1941 Firestone 6 tube radio and it is super gorgeous. This is popular Firestone “Air Chief” model 7398-1. This gorgeous radio is 12.5″ long x 8″ tall x 7 deep. The cabinet is in beautiful condition and I just refinished it. The front of the cabinet has a very nice speaker design and the veneers are Maple and Walnut. Big rounded corners and a bunch of colors with wood grains. The top of the radio is super nice and really catches the eye. The dial face is framed in and is in excellent condition. The pointer works as it should. The two “Bullet” style knobs are excellent and have been cleaned/resealed. There is a new dial cover, new dial lamp, new AC Power cord, and new Filter/Audio capacitors installed. The 6 tubes have been tested and the remaining components were checked & replaced if needed. Also there is a built in “Loop” Antenna that receives stations very well. No need for a bunch of wires behind the radio! This is a wonderful example of the American Radio Industry waiting for you to display in your favorite place in the home or office. The radio plays and receives stations very well. There are no issues. The speaker is in excellent condition and has very good volume, tone, and clarity. Performance will vary depending on your signal strength and location.
