Hieroglyphic statues typically have inscriptions or symbols carved onto them. These inscriptions could be dedications, prayers, or information about the individual or deity the statue represents. Ushabti: Ushabti, also spelled as “ushabti” or “shabti, ” were small figurines placed in tombs. They were meant to serve the deceased in the afterlife. These figurines were often inscribed with hieroglyphic texts, usually Chapter 6 from the Book of the Dead, which was a guide for the deceased in the afterlife.
