This is the 1941 Firestone 6 tube radio and it is super gorgeous. This is popular Firestone “Air Chief” model 7398-1. This gorgeous radio is 12.5″ long x 8″ tall x 7 deep. The cabinet is in beautiful condition and I just refinished it. The front of the cabinet has a very nice speaker design and the veneers are Maple and Walnut. Big rounded corners and a bunch of colors with wood grains. The top of the radio is super nice and really catches the eye. The dial face is framed in and is in excellent condition. The pointer works as it should. The two “Bullet” style knobs are excellent and have been cleaned/resealed. There is a new dial cover, new dial lamp, new AC Power cord, and new Filter/Audio capacitors installed. The 6 tubes have been tested and the remaining components were checked & replaced if needed. Also there is a built in “Loop” Antenna that receives stations very well. No need for a bunch of wires behind the radio! This is a wonderful example of the American Radio Industry waiting for you to display in your favorite place in the home or office. The radio plays and receives stations very well. There are no issues. The speaker is in excellent condition and has very good volume, tone, and clarity. Performance will vary depending on your signal strength and location.
