You don’t get to see a hammer like this every day. According to my reading about this style of hammer. It was made because nails were expensive and the extra claws enabled you to pull the nail out without bending it or putting a piece of wood under the hammer to raise it. Bringing it out straight meant you could use it again. I did NOT test this theory. No maker name is available. No previous owner has initialed it. The hammers face is mostly clean. The claw edges are clean. There are a few dents scattered about. The handle fit is tight. The handle, where it enters the head, appears to be stressed. I would NOT want to pound or extract nails with it. The handle is 13 1/2. Claw to face is 5 3/4. Top of one claw to the bottom of the others is 3 1/2.
