This listing is for an amazing pair of mid-century modern table lamps with original fiberglass atomic shades. The lamps are circa 1950s and despite some minor issues they are in overall beautiful, vintage condition. The lamps are approximately 18.5 to 19 inches tall with the shade on. The shade is approximately 10 inches across the top. This is a 3-way lamp. The base lights up, the top lights up, and you can have them both on at the same time to set the perfect mood. The main body of each lamp is made of glass with a metal mount on the bottom. The bodies appear to be in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks or chips. The fiberglass shades are also in excellent condition with no holes or cracks. There are a some light stains in a few spots but they can be turned to the back… And I have not attempted to remove them by cleaning. The metal bases have some oxidation as photos show. I tried to show the worst of the worst on one of the lamps. Both lamps have some of the oxidation in places. Again, I have not attempted to clean the oxidation but I would assume it will not come off. The lamps look beautiful as they are, but it would be simple to remove the bases and spray paint them if you want them to look perfect. The only other issue is that while the cords work and are not brittle, they are original and if I kept the lamps I would replace them. I didnt do that because some purists like to do that themselves. In addition, I would use a gold-colored cord while the originals are white. So I will let lucky winner choose the color for themselves. One of the cords was cut and a new piece was spliced in. Again, it works fine but I would replace it. The base of the lamps are lit with a common nightlight 4 or 5 watt bulb. In the end, I really like the green bulb best and that is what I took photos with and that is what lucky winner will receive. I will leave those in. They are very simple to take out and replace as you see fit. I could go on and on about this pair of fine lamps. They are so incredibly beautiful! To find one of these lamps in this condition is a great find. But to find a pair is a rare opportunity indeed! Incredibly rare find – a famous original French copper powerhouse Mauviel Villedieu stamped copper pan. There is no introduction required – every serious chef knows of Mauviel and Villedieu quality. A rare original piece from French gourmet chef collection. What makes it even more unique is that it is stamped with both Mauviel and Villedieu makers stamp. Stamped MAUVIEL VILLEDIEU MADE IN FRANCE. That is pretty much impossible to find these days. 6.5 diameter x 2 high 2mm thick and heavy copper pan with a brass handle. This piece is from the early editions of Dehillerin copper collection that was much more substantial in thickness of copper and therefore is much more valuable as a perfect and even heat conductor that is a must for a gourmet chef. The newer copper pieces are much thinner and lighter yet still being considered an investment with their prices climbing up annually as the choices become more limited. Yet the older vintage pieces are much more coveted as they become harder and harder to find or replace from the French famous copper shops cherished supply. Those cherished treasures are being lovingly stored in special rooms at the back of the company shops in France and shown only to serious collectors upon request. As copper became increasingly expensive the famous French copper sellers like Mauviel and Dehillerin could no longer continue to make the pans of the same thickness of copper to keep the prices within the reach of affordability. The older original pieces became more of the collectors items as they became so hard to find. This pan is one of them. This quality and size pan is a must at reputable French gourmet restaurants. My French copper dealer/collector mentor and friend who was collecting copper for over 50 years had a favorite saying: “use your copper – it would make you a better chef”.
