1952 Schwinn Spitfire DX This original paint beauty is one of the nicest original examples of a Spitfire DX on the planet. There are a few dents throughout the bike on the tank, rims, and fenders, but the paint still shines bright! Correct matching balloon tire pedals, near mint original Uni Royal tires. Original seat has been professionally restored. I restored the seat frame – Scott A. Did a wonderful job on the cover. The bike rides smooth and shows great! Near NOS Delta Winner headlight attached. Up for sale is a very original 1952/53 Schwinn Black Phantom! Lots of character on this one some may call it patina! This bike is fairly rough as far as most black phantoms are concerned, but that’s what makes this one stand out. With at least 90% of all phantoms out there sitting in restored condition, it’s become tough to find unrestored examples. Here’s your chance! Obviously the seat is incorrect, but I believe everything else is original on the bike. One other large flaw is the rust hole in the front fender behind the headlight housing. The headlight internals are all present, but rusty. The switch does not move. There are a few pieces missing: the taillight, headlight lens, and key [key half is broken and stuck in the lock] The hubs and bearings have been cleaned and greased. Original Schwinn front brake and handle. The front brake line is not frozen. The front drum brake mechanism actually works, but it is not effective as the pads are worn out I believe. Also, check out the original DeLuxe pedals with killer matching patina! This bike actually rides pretty nice honestly! It could use a little TLC and tires to become an everyday cruiser, or it could be a great candidate for restoration. I literally pulled this bike out of a barn about 3 years ago – so you can safely call it a “barn-find” if you would like! The price we agree to is what you pay to get the bike to your door! Vintage Colson Flyer Wood Wheel Motorbike Bicycle. Colson Flyer Wood wheel Motorbike from the End of the wood wheel era. This Colson Flyer is most Likely from 1933 and is one of the First offerings from the Colson Corp. Made Top Quality Bicycles that Rival Close Schwinn’s Superior Quality. The bike is Lux Low Patina restored with original parts as found. The Bike was totally rebuilt in intentions of being a daily rider, yet a last minute crack in the fork tube threads and a closing winter changed the out come of this bicycle. The Bike has Great Patina, Check the Frame, Truss Fork, and Fenders. The Wheels are 28″ x 1 1/2″ with Nice Wood Rims laced to a New Departure model W front hub and a rear New Departure Model D Coaster Brake Hub. The Wheels have Blackwall Tubular tires that hold some shape but not air. The Wood Wheels look great on the bike unfortunately they are not road worthy. The Seat is an old Vintage Troxel Saddle and the drive is Skiptooth chain. She’s a cool Old Ride that would look good in your collection or good for Conversation, Decor, or Ride with Work!
