This remarkably heavy, authentic antique Indo-Persian curved dagger was never intended as a crude weapon of self-defense; rather, it is a presentation-grade decorative luxury object. It perfectly epitomizes the high-end “Grand Tour” souvenirs commissioned for wealthy Western travelers and dignitaries who sought out the finest exotic artifacts to adorn the sophisticated smoking rooms and libraries of the Victorian and Edwardian eras. Unlike common, modern tourist replicas stamped from flimsy sheet metal, this exceptional estate piece is cast from thick, non-magnetic solid brass, boasting a massive, deeply satisfying weight of 13.2 ounces unboxed. THE ARTISTRY OF THE GRAND TOUR PRESTIGE PIECE During the height of Western fascination with Eastern art, local master artisans adapted traditional weaponry into stunning, narrative-rich display pieces.
