Here we have a fantastic super retro 1960’s or 70’s Westclox pull string clock. Please note, this is not my area of expertise at all but I will try my best to give an honest accurate description so please read on.. I’ve never had a pull string clock before, so I’m not familiar with how they work/should work. So I took the back off, adjusted the string to a position that seemed to make sense in my head, I then pulled the string and it worked. I don’t want to pull the string hard as it seems delicate, I don’t know how it should be, but the clock held time, but only for a few hours, I pulled the string again and it carried on for another few hours. So I’m not sure if I need to pull it a few times in a row or how the mechanism works, I don’t know… It may need adjusting more? It’s a beautiful thing, it’s very light, looks and feels like bakelite but with it’s age I presume it’s plastic. Superb piece for a lover of Mid Century modern, vintage/retro design. It measures approximately 14.5 inches in diameter. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
