This charming handmade Victorian wooden storage box is a beautiful example of 19th-century craftsmanship. Constructed with classic dovetailed joints and finished in a rich, warm-toned wood, it exudes character and historical appeal. The front features hand-painted lettering reading S. 1883 to 1885-a mysterious inscription that adds a touch of intrigue to its story. A small keyhole on the front suggests it was once lockable, though the original key is no longer present. The lid slightly overhangs on the right side, and a small notch at the bottom indicates it may have once connected to or fit within another piece of furniture. Inside, the box is clean and ready for use-perfect for storing keepsakes, letters, or decorative items. The box measures 16.5 inches wide, 10.25 inches deep, and 6.5 inches high. Please review the photos for further condition assessment. Both functional and decorative, this well-made piece would make a unique addition to any vintage or antique-inspired space.
