KINGDOM OF SERBIA ROYAL. Grip in dark horn. Astonishing level of details. The D guard is not common on M1895 Serbian swords, widh are usually mounted with a larger basket type of guard. The guard looks a lot like the M1861 austrian type. But I’m sure that this is not a recent put toghether sword as the patina appears uniform and the material of the guard and the rest of the fittings is the same. First one seen like that. Perhaps a special ordered piece or a prototype maybe. The strong pipe back b lade is in mint condition, with wonderful folliage engravings on both sides. Serbinan Coat of arms egraved on both sides. On one side there is an inscription: “Fabrica de Solingen 1895″ Maker mark and logo: WK&C. Metal Scabbard with some dings and a period reparation. EXTREMELY RARE PIECE OF HISTORY. Total lenght in scabbard: 101 cm. Blade leght : 82,5 cm. Blade is 2,4 cm wide. ALL STRONG AND FIRM.. NOTHING LOOSE OR WEAK.
