There is some staining on the sole, but it is not rusty or pitted that you can feel or see. It would easily lap out if wanted. The Rosewood handle and knob are nice. The handle has an interesting piece of lighter sap wood in it. It is not glued, damage or otherwise. Look no further for a good user or addition to the collection. Pics tell the story.
