Description : A 19thC Stoneware Meat Market Merchant Jar with Cobalt Stenciled Advertising, 1-Gallon capacity, Allegheny County, Western Pennsylvania origin, c. Wheel-thrown, cylindrical form with eased shoulder and slightly flared rim with integrated inner ledge for a lid (not present). Multi-line Cobalt-Stenciled Advertising on body reads: DAUB & SHULZNER / GROCERY / & / MEAT MARKET / 204 SMITHFIELD ST. Horizontal freehand cobalt squiggles and brushed stripe decorations above and below the merchant information. Condition : Very Good+ overall with attractive form and desirable stenciled Western Penna merchant decoration. Imperfections are noted below. Rim with wear and a small scar on the inside edge, in-the-making (see close-up, photo #8). Inner ledge has wear where a lid would rest, including a few small nicks. Body has a professionally restored hairline that extends into the base, as shown(see close-up, photo #12). Base shows moderate wear, soiling, etc. It has not been cleaned. Description : A 19thC Stoneware Whiskey Jug with Cobalt Stencil Maker Advertising, 1-Gallon capacity, Allegheny County, Western Pennsylvania origin, c. Wheel-thrown, slightly bulbous form with rounded shoulder, double-tiered spout and applied strap handle. Multi-line Cobalt-Stenciled Advertising on body reads: EDWARD ODONNELL. / WHOLESALE LIQUOR / DEALER / 1372 / SECOND AVE. Horizontal freehand cobalt squiggle decoration above and wide, brushed cobalt stripe at the base. Condition : Very Good overall with attractive form and desirable stenciled Western Penna merchant decoration. Imperfections are noted below. Upper rim with expected wear on the upper edge. The handle has been repaired and reattached at some point, as shown. Shoulder has one shallow chip and three in-the-making stack marks (the lighter oval areas). There is a faint, surface-only hairline extending up from the heel (see close-up, photo #11). Base with typical wear, soiling, etc. Inherent glaze, surface and firing imperfections noted for complete descriptive accuracy. Note: Jug was photographed outdoors in natural light; expect a shade darker gray indoors. The cobalt stencil is very crisp and bold! Nice hard to find western electric hawthorn vane fan. This fan was probably restored 20+ years ago. The paint still looks very nice on it but the brass has definitely patina down. Antique Original 1920s Round Western Electric 102 Telephone Works

Here is an original working antique round base 102 telephone that was patented in the late 1920s and produced by the Western Electric telephone company. The metal has went thru a glass bead blast process. Then this telephone went thru a special paint process to try to duplicate its original black finish. The bakelite e1 handset with the spitcup mouth piece has been buffed and polished to a high shine. This telephone has the older wraspier sounding Clicktey -Klack sounding #4 dial. The dials rural plate is in mint condition with no wear. The dial has been cleaned, calibrated and properly lubricated. The brown woven cloth cords match. The wall cord has a modular end so you can just plug it into your telephone wall recepticle and enjoy this fully functioning antique. You can dial out and receive calls and with the small ringer box provided you will hear that old bell ringing sound. The bottom has suede leather as was used on these telephones so you do not mar your furniture. This beautiful original telephone will make a nice display piece as well as being a fully usable working antique. Antique Telephone Model 554 – Black – Fully Refurbished. Western Electric 554 Original Black Plastic. The Model 554 came about as a replacement for the model 354 and quickly became the new workhorse of Northern and Western Electric line of telephones. The 554 was manufactured in many colours over the years but originally in black, brown, white, beige, blue, green, pink, and yellow. The dial has been fully disassembled, cleaned, lubed and timed to ensure years of trouble free service. We have also added a brand-new plastic fingerwheel, die cut dial card and acetate. We have professionally chrome plated the cradle for a brand-new look. We do have available modular back plates, message us for details. The shell has been painstakingly put through a multi-step restoration process which includes sanding with 400, 800, 1000, 2000 grit. This ensures that there are no scratches, dents or dings. The shell is them carefully buffed on our two step buffing wheels. This takes out the fine abrasions left by sanding and leaves the plastic with a smooth factory fresh finish. Finally, we hand apply a three-step plastic restoration compound. This leaves the plastic with a beautiful high gloss finish. Dont be fooled by other plastic 554s where they are simply painted, we have the real deal. The base is completely stripped of all its components and sandblasted clean.
