ALL FABRICS, UNLESS STATED, ARE FIRST QUALITY AND WILL AS ONE CONTINUOUS PIECE. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE FABRIC. HOWEVER, IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A PLAIN BEIGE PIECE OF CLOTH, LOOK ELSEWHERE. THIS IS THE PLACE FOR EXCITING TEXTILES. FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION ARE A PAIR OF CHAIRS COVERED IN FORTUNY’CORONE’ FABRIC. THESE ARE VINTAGE PIECES AND I WOULD GUESS THEY ARE FROM THE 1930s TO 1950s. ONE IS A’GENTLEMEN’S’ CHAIR WHICH IS SLIGHTLY LARGER THAN THE COMPANION’LADIES’ CHAIR. TO MAKE A CHAIR OF SLIGHTLY LARGER SIZE FOR THE GENTLEMAN IN THE FAMILY WAS THE FASHION DURING THE TIME PERIOD. THE STYLES ARE EXACTLY THE SAME, THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS SCALE. THE CHAIRS ARE STRUCTURALLY VERY SOUND AND EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE. THE SECOND PHOTO SHOWS THE GENTLEMEN’S CHAIR. THE THIRD PHOTO SHOWS THE LADIES CHAIR. THEY ARE FULLY UPHOLSTERED TUB CHAIRS. ALL THE TUFTING AND BUTTONS ARE INTACT. THE FOURTH PHOTOS SHOWS A GREAT DETAIL- THE SKIRT IS BANDED WITH THE BORDER OF THE FORTUNY FABRIC – THE FORTUNY’R’. THE FIFTH PHOTO SHOW THE BACK OF THE CHAIR WHICH HAS A LOVELY TAPER. THE SIXTH PHOTO SHOWS ANOTHER DETAIL- THE CORDING AROUND THE CUSHIONS AND THE BACK OF THE CHAIR IS NOT A SELF WELT, BUT A CORD IN COORDINATING COLORS OF WARM PEACH AND A SLIGHT THREAD OF THE PLATINUM COLOR WHICH IS ALMOST IMPERCEPTIBLE, BUT A GREAT DESIGNER DETAIL. THE CORONE FABRIC WAS PLACED JUST SO BY THE UPHOLSTERER- NONE OF THE’CROWN’ OF THE PATTERN IS USED. PERHAPS THE CLIENT REQUESTED THIS TO SUBDUE THE REGAL QUALITY OF THE FABRIC PATTERN AND MAKE IT A BIT MORE APPROACHABLE. CHAIRS OF THIS AGE ARE NEVER WITHOUT ISSUE AND I WILL TRY TO DETAIL THEM HERE. MENTION THESE ISSUES IN THE SPIRIT OF FULL DISCLOSURE, BUT THE CHAIRS ARE LOVELY AS IS AND WOULD COST AN ABSOLUTE FORTUNE TO RECREATE TODAY. VINTAGE FORTUNY FABRIC IS A TREASURE. ADD TO THAT THE HIGH QUALITY OF THESE CHAIRS AND THIS IS A RARE FIND INDEED. AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE FIRST PHOTO, FROM A DISTANCE OF A FEW FEET AWAY THE CHAIRS ARE BREATHTAKING. THE SEVENTH PHOTO SHOWS WHERE THERE IS’BLEED’ TO THE COLORS ON THE CUSHION. PERHAPS THEY RECEIVED TOO AGGRESSIVE A CLEANING AT SOME POINT? THE EIGHTH PHOTO SHOWS THE FABRIC IS A BIT THIN AND SLIGHTLY FRAYED IN A COUPLE AREAS. IT IS, AFTER ALL, A COTTON. THE NINTH PHOTO SHOWS THE LEFT ARM OF THE LADIES CHAIR WHICH SHOWS DISCOLORATION AND WEAR. THE TENTH PHOTO SHOWS A SMALL HOLE ON THE BACK EDGE OF THE LADIES CHAIR. THE ELEVENTH PHOTO SHOWS THAT THE FABRIC IS FADED IN AREAS WHERE IT HAS SEEN SUN. THE PARTS THAT DID NOT SEE SUN SUCH AS THE FABRIC BETWEEN THE PLEATS SHOWS THAT THIS FABRIC HAD A SLIGHT METALLIC QUALITY WHICH HAS FADED. THE TWELFTH PHOTO SHOWS THE SKIRT HAS PLEATS WHICH’COME AWAY’ FROM THE BUTTONS. THE BUTTONS ARE STILL THERE AND I SUSPECT AN UPHOLSTERER OR A RELATIVELY HANDY PERSON CAN FIND A WAY TO AFFIX THE FABRIC TO STAY BEHIND THE BUTTON TO MAKE THE PLEAT LAY BETTER. THE GENTLEMAN’S CHAIR MEASURES 34 INCHES HIGH AND 36 INCHES WIDE AT THE WIDEST POINT. THE LADIES CHAIR MEASURES 32 INCHES HIGH AND 34 INCHES WIDE. FABRICS WILL ARRIVE FOLDED AND WILL REQUIRE PRESSIN G. The item “STUNNING Pair Vintage Fortuny Chairs Upholstered Corone Fabric Down Fill Tufted” is in sale since Tuesday, September 27, 2016. This is the 1941 Zenith 6 tube radio and it is gorgeous. This is the popular model 6S527 and the size is 15.5″ long x 8.5″ tall x 7.5 deep. The cabinet is in beautiful condition and I just refinished it. There are very nice “faux” designed Walnut veneers along with very nice Maple inlays. A lot of colors and plenty of wood grains throughout. The top of this radio is stunning. The green and black dial face is in excellent condition being framed in and has the popular brass “Z” dial pointer. Additionally, there are 5 Push Buttons that are surrounded by a brass plate with the Zenith name. There are rounded corners and a very nice speaker grill. The three original “Z” Zenith knobs have been cleaned and resealed. A built in factory installed “Loop” antenna receives stations very well across the dial. There is a new dial cover, new dial lamp (2X), new AC Power cord, and new Filter/Audio capacitors installed. The 6 tubes have been tested and the remaining components were checked & replaced if needed. This is a wonderful example of the American Radio Industry waiting for you to display in your favorite place in the home or office. The radio plays and receives stations excellent with the built in “Loop” antenna. There are no issues. The speaker is in excellent condition and has very good volume, tone, and clarity. These models are excellent players and great lookers! Thank you very much for stopping in! Note: The last Push Button MUST be pushed in to allow for Tuning with the Tuning knob. Please take a look at my other radio’s I have listed. The item “Vintage old wood antique tube radio ZENITH model 6S527 A must have” is in sale since Sunday, January 6, 2019. Up for sale is a very original 1952/53 Schwinn Black Phantom! Lots of character on this one some may call it patina! This bike is fairly rough as far as most black phantoms are concerned, but that’s what makes this one stand out. With at least 90% of all phantoms out there sitting in restored condition, it’s become tough to find unrestored examples. Here’s your chance! Obviously the seat is incorrect, but I believe everything else is original on the bike. One other large flaw is the rust hole in the front fender behind the headlight housing. The headlight internals are all present, but rusty. The switch does not move. There are a few pieces missing: the taillight, headlight lens, and key [key half is broken and stuck in the lock] The hubs and bearings have been cleaned and greased. Original Schwinn front brake and handle. The front brake line is not frozen. The front drum brake mechanism actually works, but it is not effective as the pads are worn out I believe. Also, check out the original DeLuxe pedals with killer matching patina! This bike actually rides pretty nice honestly! It could use a little TLC and tires to become an everyday cruiser, or it could be a great candidate for restoration. I literally pulled this bike out of a barn about 3 years ago – so you can safely call it a “barn-find” if you would like! The price we agree to is what you pay to get the bike to your door! Any questions – just message me. The item “1952 Schwinn Black Phantom Antique Vintage Bicycle Rare Original” is in sale since Wednesday, December 12, 2018.
