Super Rare 1852 Very Rare Antique Civil War Sword Officers M1852 Navy USN CSA
1852 Very Rare Antique Civil War Sword Officers M1852 Navy USN CSA. Including an “S” on the throat. With 3 stars over initials E. On the inside of the guard (See Photos). Civil War Non-Regulation Foot Officer’s Sword: Non-regulation Foot Officer’s sword with French Klingenthal blade. The hilt is stamped with the encircled three-star/E. Mark of the importer Delacours & Backe of Paris and the obverse ricasso is stamped with Klingenthal proofs. The ornate gold-plated rococo relief cast non-regulation hilt is identical to the example illustrated on page 422 of “CIVIL WAR ARMY SWORDS” by John H. This is a high quality sword that conforms to the general specifications of the U. Model 1850 Foot Officer’s Sword. Here we have a very rare and not often seen Civil War period Model 1852 US naval officers sword in remarkable field used condition! In 1861 at the beginning of the war, the US Navy was barely a service at all. Both services are know to have used the same regulation sword like this one. But folks fail to realize that there were less than a 1000 Officers at the beginning of the war and that is why this sword is so highly sought after and rare. The blade has darkened from age but all the etching is readable on both sides. The only corrosion is light pitting toward the point from moisture in the scabbard. The grip is shark skin with wire wrap and about 90+% in tact. The brass guard is very nice with original patina that presents nicely! The guard is slightly loose as expected with the obvious field use this sword has had but could easily be tighten by an expert if you choose to restore it. There is an inscription on the spine which may be French maker marks and also proof marks on the ricosso that are probably French as well. But I think the blade was originally made in Germany and sent to France as the etching more closely resembles an American or German pattern. Many swords were imported from France, England and Germany prior to and during the early stages of the war due to short supply. This is a true M1852 non regulation CSA sword with a missing scabbard… Defiantly Rare being manufacture as one of the earliest 1852 USN swords in Europe and exported to America during the civil war. Just completed the restoration of this beautiful highly collectable 1941 tube radio. This the Crosley model 53TF. It is 13″ long x 8″ tall x 6.5 deep. The radio’s cabinet is refinished and has wonderful wood grains, colors, and walnut veneers. The radio has rounded top edges, a beautiful top, and pin striping around the entire cabinet. The three original knobs have been cleaned, polished, and resealed. The framed in dial face and pointer are very nice and the pointer works as required. Offered for sale is an exceptional Collection of Victorian Microscope slides housed in the very best R&J Beck Mahogany Cabinet. Carefully collected over a period of over 10 years, it represents the finest group of quality specimens by a range of Professional slide mounters. The contents include specimens from all areas of the natural world. From the geology that makes up our earth and all the creatures and plants that inhabit the planet, to exhibition slides that demonstrate the mounters skill, all from the heyday of this fascinating period of discovery and interest in the scientific and natural world. A Cabinet of slides of this magnitude is rarely offered for sale. The contents have been specially selected as the finest of their type, both for condition and presentation. Some slides are exceptionally rare, and many are, I consider unique. I consider this collection to be world class and is, in my experience as good as, or better than any found in an institution or most high end private collections. I cannot emphasise strongly enough how much time and effort has gone into collecting and compiling this magnificent collection. A full description follows of each drawer and details of some of the slides of special interest. Manufactured by R & J Beck in London around 1880, this is the finest Mahogany Cabinet available at the time. Dating to around 1880. With a glazed door and 29 numbered drawers, each labelled with the contents. Original door lock and hinges, brass swing handles to the sides and capacity to house 1008 standard sized slides complete with additional storage in the bottom drawer. Ebony and Ivory numbered drawer pulls and a brass makers plaque complete the picture. The condition of this fine Mahogany cabinet is faultless. RAKETA 3031 VERY RARE OLD LEGEND of USSR Collectible watch 33 jewels /V
Watch with mechanism “Raketa 3031″ – the most complex that had ever produced in the USSR. In 1967, the Petrodvorets watch factory produced a trial batch in a stainless steel housing. Distinctive features of the new items were the mechanism by 33 stones with features dual calendar, self-winding and mechanical alarm clock. The party of watch entered into a single brand shop “Raketa ” in Leningrad (150 copies, but worker of the plant argues that these models were less than a hundred pieces). Price for this watch is at 150 rubles. However, the price was too high for Soviet citizens. While gold watch cost less. The model was removed from the sale. But today it is the most desirable model for collectors of Soviet watchs worldwide!!!! I present you the original watch of RAKETA 3031. I sell this model in its natural state. Watchmakers are not served because I afraid when watch have to servicing- it not been damaged. An watch have the original packaging arrangement. On the glass there is no big crack. The watch works , the accuracy is not checked. A couple of circles arrow made. Alarm is audible, calendar rearranged. This is a very rare specimen. Watch a rare find for collectors of Soviet watchs. I think in the future the price will increase. Waiting for your emails and rates. Please check my other items in my store.
