Vintage Antique 8 1/2 Foot Canvas Canoe Handmade Wood Frame SHIPPING POSSIBLE
This canoe would make a really neat display piece on a porch or a in a cabin. The way the bottom is shaped you could paint a name or saying on it. Also the bottom could be cut off and turned into book shelves. It is a really neat piece. It no longer would be able to float in the water. This is a handmade canoe from the 1950’s or older. The wooden frame at the top edge, on one side is broken as shown in the pictures. There are ripped places in the canvas as shown in the pictures. On the bottom there is a place where newspaper has stuck to the canvas but will wash off. 100″ long x 31″ wide. Antique gas pump, visible, fuel, petroleum, gas hand pump, vintage FREE SHIPPING
This is a Gilbert and Barker model #T-176. The pump was built in 1923. The normally clear glass reservoir has “turned” purple indicating that manganese dioxide was used in the glass making process. This process was phased out in the mid-1920’s. (This would further prove this pump was made BEFORE 1925). As you can see, the pump is not gutted. The pump and plumbing are original and intact. It has a reproduction globe, hose, nozzle and price sign (not pictured). The pump is originally from eastern Colorado. It originally was a Bay gas pump, but no reproduction glass lens’ was available. (At least at that time). I wanted to restore it as a Bay as that was a familiar brand of gas where l was raised. So l opted to make it a Mobil instead. This pump has ALWAYS been kept indoors since restoration. It has some scratches (no dents) , courtesy of the 1994 Northridge, California earthquake and falling debris.
