Antique 1901 Edison Home Phonograph With Horn & Stand NO Cylinders WORKS MUST SEE
Antique 1901 Edison Home Phonograph W/ Horn & Stand NO Cylinders. This Edison has been owned for the past 40 years by prior owner, the stand included with this phonograph the prior owner had made 25 or so years ago, they wanted it to fit the look and be a nice display stand which in my opinion they achieved. They told me it has not been played in approx 5 years, it was in working condition the last time it was used. I tested the piece and they crank did turn and operate the machine as intended tho I don’t have any cylinders to test the sound. Condition wise its quite good could use a bit of a cleaning but other then that there is finish wear to the wood mostly on the cover for the unit, and there is one small crack see photo 12. Condition of the horn is excellent no dents or damage. With a little bit to TLC cleaning this should be a good functioning piece for you to enjoy. PLEASE SEE MY REVIEWS. 1915 GENERAL ELECTRIC COIN OPERATED, BRASS BLADE, NONE OSCILLATING 12 FAN FOR SALE. This General Electric fan has been very meticulously and painstakingly restored. Pictures speak for themselves. This fan has been totally disassembled and reassembled to fully function like it did when it was New. Here is a list of things that have been done to this fan. All parts have been cleaned free of grease in a wash tank. All parts with paint have been bead blasted down to bare metal. Bushings have been replaced with new. All internal parts have been wire wheeled. Continuity screw was replicated which is the most important part of a coin operated fan. All brass internal parts have been polished. Any blemishes in the castings (metal) have been filled and repaired. Painted with GLOSS BLACK one stage automotive paint (Three coats). We use high quality paint with hardener and reducer with catalyst. Paint has been wet sanded and Polished with 3 different grades of polish. All Nuts and Bolts that are brass have been polished. The GE badge on the front has been Polished. Painted, and clear coated to original condition. Name Tags has been painted to original condition and. All nuts and bolts that are brass have been clear-coated. Fan Blades have been polished to a mirror shine, but have not been clear coated for maximum shine which is an option for the owner to polish. Fan blades have been balanced. All new rubber grommets. Totally rewired from stator with black cloth replica wire. New black replica plug. New oil in oil cup. New Grease has been applied. Assembled and ran for over five hours to ensure proper functionality. (motor barely gets Warm). Coin operated devices become popular in the late ninetieth century and this application was soon adapted to fans. Both General Electric and Westinghouse. Made coin operated fans for consumer use. The fan would give the consumer an hour of use for each nickel deposited. The more nickels deposited, the longer the fan would operate. This was ideal for hotels in warmer climates. A small handle has been attached to the motor for greater mobility. This example is for alternating current. The base is made of cast iron and is very heavy. There is a slot located at the. Top of the base to deposit a coin. The large fluted knob on the back of the base has instructions on how to operate the fan. The hole at the base of the fan is the bank which holds the nickels. The motor is a 1914 collar oscillator design, but this fan does not oscillate. Dimensions of this fan are 18from base to top of cage. The total width of the cage is 131/4. Total depth from front of badge to back of badge is 8 1/2. As you can see, a lot of work and hours has gone into this fan to make it function properly. This is not a cheap restoration. I have been restoring antiques over 25 years and take a lot of pride in my work and pay attention to every detail. I can honestly say Im proud to bring this fan back to life and if youre not happy, Im not happy. Need not say more. The pictures speak for themselves. You will have to assemble the fan when you get it. You will receive directions on how to assemble this fan which is very simple. If you have any questions, dont hesitate to ask. Thanks for your time. Vintage old wood antique tube radio ZENITH model 6S527 A must have
This is the 1941 Zenith 6 tube radio and it is gorgeous. This is the popular model 6S527 and the size is 15.5″ long x 8.5″ tall x 7.5 deep. The cabinet is in beautiful condition and I just refinished it. There are very nice “faux” designed Walnut veneers along with very nice Maple inlays. A lot of colors and plenty of wood grains throughout. The top of this radio is stunning. The green and black dial face is in excellent condition being framed in and has the popular brass “Z” dial pointer. Additionally, there are 5 Push Buttons that are surrounded by a brass plate with the Zenith name. There are rounded corners and a very nice speaker grill. The three original “Z” Zenith knobs have been cleaned and resealed. A built in factory installed “Loop” antenna receives stations very well across the dial. There is a new dial cover, new dial lamp (2X), new AC Power cord, and new Filter/Audio capacitors installed. The 6 tubes have been tested and the remaining components were checked & replaced if needed. This is a wonderful example of the American Radio Industry waiting for you to display in your favorite place in the home or office. The radio plays and receives stations excellent with the built in “Loop” antenna. There are no issues. The speaker is in excellent condition and has very good volume, tone, and clarity. These models are excellent players and great lookers! Thank you very much for stopping in! Note: The last Push Button MUST be pushed in to allow for Tuning with the Tuning knob. Please take a look at my other radio’s I have listed. The item “Vintage old wood antique tube radio ZENITH model 6S527 A must have” is in sale since Sunday, January 6, 2019.
