The Dirty Dozen was the name given to a group of 12 similarly-styled watches worn by British soldiers at the time of WWII, which were commissioned from 12 companies by the British Ministry of Defence. The twelve companies are as follows: Buren, Cyma, Eterna, Grana, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Lemania, Longines, IWC, Omega, Record, Timor, and Vertex. Each company delivered as many watches as their manufacturing would allow. Of a total of roughly 145,000 watches, an estimated 13,000 were manufactured by Timor. This is a gents Record Dirty Dozer watch. It features a black dial and one sub dial showing the seconds hand. It has been finished with a highly durable khaki green fabric strap. Antique 1918 Solid Silver Military Longines Trench Watch Ww1 League Of Nations

ANOTHER RARE AND HISTORICAL MILITARY WATCH FIND FROM ANTIQUETIMEONLINE!! A GORGEOUS RARE CIRCA 1918 GENUINE QUALITY 15 JEWEL LONGINES RARE EARLY MILITARY SOLID 925 ENGLISH STERLING SILVER GENUINE TRENCH WATCH. My theory of maybe the original owner. After a lot of research this watch MAY have been owned by Cecil Brockett of the 457th W. R Field Co of the Royal Engineers. I have used the inscription on the rear of the case of this lovely watch which says’S. Brockett was discharged from the Army in 1920 AND MIGHT HAVE gone on to Join The Irish royal constabulary or the’BLACK AND TANS’ although I do not have access to the records for this company of men who joined them after WW1. The inscription seems important and the only reference that I can find for the initials S. Which was the French initials for the. LEAGUE OF NATIONS who brokered a ceasefire between the Irish and the English to end the war. This begs the question of whether Cecil Brockett was more than a normal Black and Tan recruit. However I may be going down the wrong route completely. I will leave you to research some more! FULLY SERVICED AND READY TO WEAR! This is an absolutely beautiful 4 piece genuine solid HIGH GRADE 925 STERLING SOLID SILVER watch case. The case is in EXCELLENT condition, showing only light wear. This lovely watch case has an Engraving to it which says’S. The HINGED MOSER STYLE lugs have NOT had any old repairs and look stunning. The inside of the case is beautifully and crisply marked with FULL English hallmarks for 925 solid silver, WITH THE SPONSORS MARK FOR ALFRED BAUME (BAUME & MERCIER, retailers of longines products at this time). The case is fully hallmarked for English sterling silver and has London Assay office marks with a date letter for 1918. The case measures 3.5cms (35mm) in diameter. It is of excellent quality and a good weight as you would expect for a field watch. This is a fantastic lovely original bright white dial It is signed by the famous WW1 retailer J. The dial is in absolutely excellent condition and is showing NO hairlines and just some light dust and dirt particles (under magnification) here and there. All of the BEAUTIFUL BLACK painted Arabic numerals are crisp and sharp and most have all of the original lume apart from 11 and 2 which have lost a little. The dial has a gorgeous black painted outer minute track. The dial has 2 fantastic original cathedral style steel hands which are in excellent good condition with just very light oxidisation. The lume was patchy on the hands so I had it removed. The crystal is a plexi replacement. It is in excellent condition showing no wear marks. This is a wonderful genuine high grade MINTY LONGINES 13.34 top quality 15 jewels (CHATON SET) 3/4 plate gilt movement. It is signed’B&CO’ (BAUME & CO were official LONGINES movement importers and suppliers in the UK at this time). Under the dial the watch is stamped’LONGINES’. The calibre 13.34 is one of the most difficult early Longines movements for the collector to find, it being also one of the companys first calibres designed specifically for the wristwatch in 1910 and almost all examples now reside in private collections from whence they are unlikely to reappear in the foreseeable future. This fantastic movement is in good working order and has just BEEN FULLY SERVICED by my watchmaker. The movement photos have been taken on my watchmakers bench while it was being serviced! I have timed it over 24 hours and keeps good time to within a few mins a day. It is manual wind and pin set. All in all this is a beautiful high quality original LONGINES movement. The movement is numbered 3589424 dating it to 1917/18. The crown is rose gold in color and looks to be the original’onion’ type a replacement from new. This beautiful timepiece is fitted with a brand new 12mm extra long black leather band. It has a white metal buckle. This is an absolutely fantastic band to this gorgeous watch!! The watch and band measure just over 9 inches in total length. A LOVELY LONGINES TRENCH WATCH SHOWING VERY LITTLE WEAR AND IT IS A REALLY GREAT RARE AND HISTORICAL BRITISH OWNED POSSIBLY MILITARY ITEM! There is NO exception. For WW1 or WW2 MILITARY BICYCLES. WITH THESE, YOU CAN CONVERT YOUR OWN BICYCLE INTO. A REPLICA MILITARY MODEL. Not every type of rifle clip fits every vintage bicycle. But these are designed to be as versatile as possible. You can see from the photos below how they fit. You need to cut up an old leather belt and glue it inside the rifle clips. To finish them off (though I’ve not done this on the bike illustrated here). A bicycle was an ideal means of transportation as it was comparatively lightweight it could be carried over obstructions and as well as being ridden could be loaded with equipment and pushed. Vintage Record Dirty Dozen Military Watch. This is a Record Dirty Dozen W. W Military Watch which dates back to 1945 and comes from the first line of non-civilian wristwatches worn by the British military. The original radium dial has the British military Broadarrow on it in superb condition. The Dirty Dozen was the name given to a group of 12 similarly-styled watches worn by British soldiers at the time of WWII, which were commissioned from 12 companies by the British Ministry of Defence. The twelve companies are as follows: Buren, Cyma, Eterna, Grana, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Lemania, Longines, IWC, Omega, Record, Timor, and Vertex. Each company delivered as many watches as their manufacturing would allow. Of a total of roughly 145,000 watches, an estimated 25,000 were manufactured by Record. The watches needed to be accurate, reliable and durable, which in watchmaking terms meant they had to be regulated to chronometer standards, and also be waterproof and shockproof. The watches also had to have a black dial, Arabic numerals, luminous hour and minute hands, luminous hour markers, a railroad minute track, a shatterproof crystal, and a stainless-steel case. Powering them would be 15-jewel movements, measuring between 11.75 and 13 lignes. The case-back has WWW (standing for Watch Wrist-let Waterproof) and Military Issue Number, L27876 and a. Standard civil serial number. The last three digits of the military issue number, 876 should be mirrored on one of the lugs to show that this case-back is original to this specific watch. In many instances, the case-backs of these military watches were switched during servicing as is the case in this watch which has the number 619 on one of the lugs. The use of the Broad Arrow for government goods goes all the way back to Sir Philip Sidney, Joint Master of the Ordnance in 1585, whose family used the Broad Arrow in its coat of arms. We have added a NATO style strap, but would point out that NATO straps didnt occur when the watch was made neither did NATO! 36mm (39mm including crown). Date Of Manufacture: Circa. 1915 Antique Military Officers Trench Watch Solid Silver Full Hunter Serviced

ANOTHER RARE AND BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE SOLID SILVER COLLECTIBLE WATCH FROM ANTIQUETIMEONLINE! WITH ITS LOVELY DIAL THIS IS A SOUGHT AFTER 1915 SILVER TRENCH WATCH. A GREAT WATCH IN FANTASTIC ORIGINAL CONDITION! FULLY SERVICED AND READY TO WEAR! The 4 piece FULL HUNTER SCREW BACK case to this beautiful watch is solid English sterling silver. IT IS AN EXCELLENT QUALITY SILVER CASE. Would not supply them. It has a case back which screws on. The case back has 3 initials J. Which were probably the gentleman’s initials who owned the watch originally. It has, as you would expect light wear. The hunter case cover front shows lots of dings and a crease which is consumerate of’in the field’ wear. The case is fully hall marked for solid silver. The case front is sprung and is operated via a push button on the case side above on lug. This is in operating condition. The hall marks date the watch to 1915 with an Assay mark for LONDON. The solid silver lugs show no evidence of any old repairs that I can see and are in good condition. I have gently polished the case, and it is shining nicely. THE WATCH MEASURES 3.4cms (34mm) across. The inside rear of the front cover is also marked for silver. This stunning collectible watch has a nice original fantastic original white dial. You would expect for a watch of 100 years old that it would have a few hairlines, BUT this dial shows no hairlines that I can see. It has beautiful sharp and crisp Arabic numerals, which are lovely and sharp. The radio active lume that would have been present originally, has been removed for safety purposes. The dial also has a subsidiary dial which is in nice condition. The crystal in the inner bezel is brand new and as such is in minty condition. The dial has stunning blued steel’Cathedral’ hands which have lost their lume but are in very good condition. This is a beautifully finished original Swiss made crown wind and set movement. The movement is in working order and has just been FULLY SERVICED by my watchmaker. It keeps time to with a few minutes per day as tested over 24 hours. The movement has a nice compensated balance. This beautiful and rare wrist watch has a brand new black genuine leather 12mm open ended band fitted which compliments and fits this wristwatch absolutely superbly! . The watch and band measure a total of just over 8 and a half inches in total length. THIS IS A REALLY GOOD VERY COLLECTIBLE EARLY OFFICERS FULL HUNTER TRENCH WATCH.
