Includes Brass Ratchet Key and an Extra Key to Set the Time. 13″ x 10″ x 9″(Outer Box) 7 5/8″ x 7 5/8″ x 7.5″(Inner Box). This lot comes to you AS-IS with no implied warranties or guarantees. This clock is running well and has nice motion to the balance wheel and a great sounding beat as it goes back and forth. The movement is very clean looking but we do not have any service records as to when it was last serviced, and advise having this done prior to running on a regular basis. It has been run for about 4-5 day’s straight and kept very good time as it is supposed to do. This clock looks to be all original except the cover to the inside box, which has had the top replaced. It is a known fact that the Navigators would remove the lids of the boxes to make them easier to read and not continually open and close the box top to read the time. This obviously happened to this clock and the lid has been replaced. It is slightly smaller than the original but is a decent fit and part of the clocks origianal history while serving in the military. This is a great looking set that has a lot of historical value to someone whom collects military items and I’m sure the N6657 serial number can be traced to the specific boat it was placed on as many of these records are available from the NAWCC who has access to the hand written serial number database.
