Antique original Gamewell police “Citizens Key” call box. It is in excellent condition. At some point, I think a later style number plate was installed? , but I will include an original/correct number plate #42 that is pictured. It has the original door lock and the original citizen key lock mechanism with a citizens key included. No main door key is included. Antique Gamewell Firehouse Alarm Gong Stamped No. 52 on The Oak case. The Case is 17 1/2″ Long, 9 1/4″ wide and 4 3/8 deep. It has a shiny 6 Case Brass bell. Striking Mechanism Has a Patent Date of May 26 1891. Looks to be in Great Condition. Fully wound Mainspring and a Winding key is Included. Has Flat glass in Door. Door Key is not original but does work the Lock. A couple of holes are Visible where label was. Pictures are an Integral part of Description. Antique Gamewell 15 Feather Top Cherry Wood Cased Fire Alarm Gong

Offered is this very nice Gamewell fire alarm gong. This gong has a 15 bell and is made out of cherry. The gong is in very good condition with some normal cracking to the wood joints as seen in the photos. The original mechanism was removed and replaced with a single striking mechanism. The glass is painted in gold leaf Fire Co No 1, which could easily be stripped and removed from the glass. The door lock is intact, and a key is included. The fig leaf and rosettes are all original as is the bell and the nut. The gong is overall 32 from the top of the fig leaf to the bottom of the case. A very fine and hard to find gong! With a little research one could find an original mechanism and install it and have a complete gong. D U E TO SEVERAL QUESTIONS THE LAST PHOTO WAS ADDED TO SHOW SIZE COMPARISON WITH AN 8FEATHER TOP GONG.
