Larry & Carole Meeker. Antiques of a Mechanical Nature. Genuine Antique & Vintage Collectible Electrical Devices. Edison Battery Powered Electric Fan w/ Blade & Cage. This sale is for the super nice Thomas A. Edison Battery Powered Electric Fan w/ Blade & Cage pictured. This minty nice looking example of a rare and desirable battery powered Edison Fan is the nicest I have ever handled. This fan was carefully cleaned and beautifully restored to original running condition by a well known restorer and recognized authority on Edison Fans. It is as nice as one could ask for. It has a 6 blade fan blade that is properly marked Edison on each blade. 6 blade Edison Fans are much rarer than the much more commonly seen unmarked 4 blade version typically seen. The brass basket style cage looks great. The Edison ID tag with no serial number is on the side. Again, as nice as one could ever ask for. Pics tell the story. What you see is what you get. Please look at all the pics to see the details and condition. They are an important part of the description!! Enjoy and Good Luck! We are full time antique dealers who have been at this for over 30 years. Our descriptions and our photos are never designed to misrepresent or over-embellish our merchandise. The free listing tool. Antique Emerson Brass 6 Blade Cage 3 Speed Electric Fan Type 21666 No. 192098
This beautiful Emerson fan is an exquisite example that is over 100 years old. It works great and has 3 speeds (fast, faster, and wow the early 1900s were no joke). The fan does have wear from age. The cord has been taped with electrical tape at some point, it may need to be replaced. It looks like it was meant to be bolted down to something. It doesn’t oscillate. Please see all photos for condition and feel free to ask any questions. Restored Western Electric 302 Deskphone – Working Condition! Fantastic Western Electric 302 -with Chrome Trim. This wonderful working example of 1930’s design is sure to fit into your period decorating scheme. The Model 302 desk telephone was introduced in 1937. Created by famed industrial designer Henry Dreyfuss, the first versions had a die-cast zinc housing, however, demands for metal during WW2 necessitated a shift to thermo-plastic housings on later models. Previous desk models required a separate subscriber set or bell box that was attached by the line cord. While the 302 series telephone is predominately found in black, it was also produced in nine colours. When the thermoplastic housings became the standard, the colours were molded in the plastic of that colour rather than being painted on as was the case of the die-cast phones. Dial has been fully disassembled, cleaned, lubed and timed to ensure years of trouble free service. The outer edge of the dial has been stripped and repainted with a gloss black. Unless the dial is removed, this is something you will rarely ever even see, but this is how it would have come from the factory. The number plate has been cleaned and a perfectly matching overlay has been applied. The finger wheel and dial card ring have been freshly chrome plated finish. A brand new die cut dial card and acetate cover has been added as well. You can choose from either black or brown cloth cords. The line cord has a modular connection to facilitate a modern connection to your wall jack. The shell has been stripped down and sandblasted using a glass grit and powder coated in a semi-gloss black finish. This closely resembles the finish on the original 302. Handset has been ultrasonically cleaned to get all imbedded debris out. It is then sanded through a 4 step process (400, 800, 1000, 2000 grit) and buffed back to its beautiful original shine. We then trim the handset with chrome plated handset rings to complete the look. The base is completely stripped of all its components and painted with a high gloss black. The components are then cleaned, tested and reinstalled. The feet are disassembled and sand blasted. They are then rewrapped with super soft pig skin suede leather to ensure it does not damage the table it proudly sits on. This is a great opportunity to own a fantastic piece of fully functional classic technology. Do you currently have any rotary phones? If they do, you are all set to go. Oldphoneworks is one of the largest suppliers of antique phones and parts in the world. We manufacture cloth covered telephone cords on-site using original equipment and top quality materials. Our telephone cords are available in a variety of styles, lengths and colors including black, brown, green, red, blue, green, orange and yellow. This is a beautiful walnut Emerson 108 with no cracks. There are a few scratches, but this is a beauty. Even has the back. Bonus time: It plays. And the dial lights. It measures 10″ tall, 7″ wide and 5 deep. If you don’t like it, you’ll have 14 days to return it. The Emerson model 108, introduced in the summer of 1935 for the 1936 season, was offered in walnut colored bakelite, ivory plaskon. & black bake- lite. ANTIQUE EMERSON ELECTRIC FAN 12 1510 CAST IRON BODY With SWITCH PLATE 1906
ANTIQUE EMERSON ELECTRIC FAN 12 1510 CAST IRON BODY W/ SWITCH PLATE 1906. It runs great on both speeds and you can tell a difference in speeds. It has a slight vibration when running. It was made around1906. The switch was cracked and missing a piece. I repaired it with Pool Putty. One wire on the center ring is loose but really has no affect on it. I repainted it with my own home made black Japan paint. I did not paint the blade hub or touch the blade at all (I did not want to brake it). The wire I used on this fan is original Silk Insulated wire IT HAS NO PLASTIC INSULATION INSIDE, DO NOT GET IT WET!!! Also the black cardboard disc on the white plug falls off but I will make sure you get it also. And on the cage where the 3 rings are crimped these pieces are new and where crimped by me. This is a complete Emerson 1510 that can be displayed as is or polished up more but that is totally up to you. The only thing missing is rubber feet! Please view my other auctions for some excellent pieces and prices. Once you receive your item/items and you are satisfied I expect FEEDBACK from you.
