THIS IS A FABULOUS DAG WITH AN UNTOUCHED SURFACE COMPRISING OF MULTI MIXED PATINA OF WHAT APPEARS TO POSSIBLY BE AN OLD PAINTED SURFACE. JUST A WONDERFUL EXAMPLE AND EXECUTION OF THE HANDLE IS FABULOUS. BLADE IS 7 IN LENGTH, COMPLETELY HAND FORGED WITH SMALL TRACKS IN THE BLADE ON BOTH SIDES? ALMOST LOOKS LIKE TURKEY TRACKS IN THE SNOW. UNTOUCHED AND UNCLEANED BLADE. THESE TRACKS COULD INDICATE OWNER OR MAKER. THE HANDLE IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE NICEST UNTOUCHED EXAMPLES I’VE OFFERED. OVERALL LENGTH IS 14 1/2. QUITE POSSIBLY MADE FROM A BUFFALO LANCE BLADE, THE PROFILE OF THE BLADE SUGGESTS AN EARLIER FORM. HERE IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO ACQUIRE AN ORIGINAL NATIVE AMERICAN MADE DAG IN IT’S UNTOUCHED UNFOOLED WITH CONDITION. THEY DON’T COME ANY NICER THAN THIS ONE! A TRUE KNIFE OF THE HISTORIC PERIOD. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST. The item “19TH CENTURY PLAINS INDIAN DAG ANTIQUE TOMAHAWK FUR TRADEANTIQUE BOWIE” is in sale since Friday, February 1, 2019. Antique W. F. & J. Barnes 19th Century Mortising Machine Foot Operated Type 2
We have for your consideration an antique Barnes 19th century mortising machine. It is marked’W. & J Barnes Rockford, ILL. This is a foot-operated machine used to clean out a mortise. It features fantastic lion’s paw feet. All the knobs and bolts are free and moving as they should. There is original red pin striping that is 60-70% intact. The dimensions of this piece are 53″ tall x 56 5/16″ wide x 32 deep. It weighs 139 pounds. We believe it is a’Type 2′ version (there were 4 versions) of this machine that was made between 1880 and 1892. Type 2 added an additional wood platform to the cast iron table. Regarding the group of chisels and bits: All of the bits in the orange boxes are marked’DELTA Milwaukee’. There is also a bit without box that is marked’Delta Milwaukee 476-3. All of the chisels in the orange boxes are marked’Home Craft Power Tools. Most of these look lightly used. The tools in boxes match the labels on the boxes. There are five additional bits and chisels that are heavily used and one other part that we don’t know what it is for. The feet will be removed and the wooden crosspiece material support will be removed, so reassembly will be required upon receipt. This antique mortising machine is pre-owned. It is missing the spring that activates the foot peddle and this would need to be replaced to make this piece operational. The part of the base that supports the front left foot was broken off. It has been retapped in a stable manner so the leg can still be bolted on, but it sits back a bit further than the right leg. The piece still displays beautifully as is. Included is a group of chisels and bits, some of which are in their original boxes. Your satisfaction is always guaranteed. You really should take a look at things from the RoofTop – it just might change your whole perspective. Careful packaging is always a priority. Due to size and weight restrictions, we do not intend to offer this to International customers. The item “Antique W. F. & J. Barnes 19th Century Mortising Machine Foot Operated Type 2″ is in sale since Tuesday, July 3, 2018. This item is in the category “Collectibles\Tools, Hardware & Locks\Tools\Other Collectible Tools”. About the item: Stunning full size antique carousel horse, c1890. It is beautifully carved in a’prancing’ style and the head is turned slightly to the left. There is lots of original metal work , including stirrups. There is a good amount of original paintwork giving just the right’distressed’ look. Overall condition is good in line with age and use. It is structurally sound with no loose joints etc. There is evidence of various historic repairs and some of the metal strap work is loose. The eyes look to be the original glass ones. The original horse hair tail has been replaced with leather but this could be easily rectified. It sits on a modern stand. Please refer to the detailed photographs and feel free to contact me with any questions or if you would like to view the item. Size: 120 cm tall x 110 cm long x 25 cm wide.
