Up for grabs we have a rare smoker’s stand ashtray featuring slag glass and a poker/card motif (club, heart, spade and diamond on top). Rusty patina chrome finish. The glass is in awesome condition. Looks to be a fairly recent electrical cord upgrade but I’m not positive. Takes one lightbulb in the base. The built in ash trays on top have a cool wood grain over the metal material. I think the lighter was added and whatever else went in the other hole is missing. For a poker lounge, man cave, collectors, home bar, real bar, gambling den etc! The item “Vintage Art Deco Ashtray Smoking Stand with Slag Glass 1930’s Poker Motif Cards” is in sale since Sunday, April 19, 2020. This item is in the category “Collectibles\Tobacciana\Ashtrays”. Vintage / Antique 1930s Halloween Paper Mache Pulp Jack-O-Lantern Devil. Made by the F. Burt Company, of Buffalo, NY during the early 1930s. Really cool if you think about it! Measures about 6.5″ tall and 5.5″ wide at its widest point. Antique, and overall I would say well preserved condition given the fact it is probably about 85-90 years old! There is some paint rubbed off in a few areas, also some of the bottom has worn down, and it has a hole in the back of the head. I believe the insert is original, and as you can see it is thin so it also does have some rips/tears. This came from a local, Buffalo NY estate sale. I was told by the estate sale company that a large amount of Halloween decorations were found at the bottom of a box of vintage clothing and the kids of the deceased had no idea they were even there; they had never seen them before in their lives, so they suspect that the items belonged to their grandparents. When I went to the sale, the story made sense. There was a lot of “junk” hoarded everywhere, so it was. To me that they hadn’t realized what had been kept where for a long time. The kids are in their 60s, so we are talking about items that were not given any special storage treatment, but which have probably not seen the light of day for at least 60 years if not more! Pretty cool I think! Don’t miss this awesome opportunity to score this rare, “un-vaulted” item with such a neat history! Please review all pictures and full description carefully. Items are obtained from many different places, so I cannot guarantee past history, but I do check all items thoroughly for stains, smells, lint, and flaws. Check out the other items. Happy to provide additional photos, video or answer any questions. What’s the difference? We know vast majority of people dont really differentiate the two terms nowadays but there is actually a huge difference between them. The difference between restore and refurbish is that restore is to reestablish, or bring back into existence while refurbish is to rebuild or replenish with all new material. Restore English, Verb To reestablish, or bring back into existence. To restore to original (or better) working order and appearance. To bring back to a previous condition or state. To give or bring back (that which has been lost or taken). Related terms: restoration restorer. English, Verb To rebuild or replenish with all new material. To rebuild or replenish with all new material Source: wikidiff. Since many people still keep asking questions about whether those items we list are repainted, with new stickers etc, we feel the need to clarify things. All items we list as restored are almost 100% originals , nothing new put on them other than oil & grease, rubber o-rings (tires), rubber / felt feet, and motor / treadle belts, depending on the model. If a part is missing or damaged and we can’t repair it, we’ll replace it with one from a donor machine of the same era. Never a newer or a new one. Those items are certainly repainted as many think, nor have we put new stickers / decals which would then label them as renovated or “refurbished”. Everything was set in the factory back then. Motor sets may have a new plug and leads but coils and internals would be vintage and serviced. Lamps will be new. Always have in mind the time to restore an item, is many times the time needed to refurbish a same one. And although it is much, much more time consuming, we prefer this approach which preserves the authenticity and history of an item rather than just making it eye appealing but strip it from it’s history and identity. Growing up in Athens, Greece watching the archeologists, since we were kids, painstakingly removing layer after layer of debris and foreign matter from the ancient finds in open dig sites the size of football fields using nothing more than small brushes the size of a toothbrush and small hand tools along with tons and tons of patience and sunscreen may have contributed in our later days attitude towards items of historic significance ;- Or at least we like to think so :. The serial number is 76585 and is stamped on the bottom of the cranks housing men’s balloon tire bicycle with 26 wheels. I BELIEVE this is an Elgin but I may be wrong. Could be Dayton, etc. Looks a lot like an early Schwinn B10E. See pics and be your own expert These are next to impossible to find in ANY condition! With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike! This bike has a cool mens cruiser style frame truss rod forks, wide handlebars, newer hand grips, full fenders with “flat” braces, (have that “raingutter” look) glass rear fender mounted reflector, Skiptooth chain with unique sprocket, cruiser style seat, (has some cool early 60s model car decals) Schwinn? Pedals, unique chainguard, and more! This bike comes as shown and is REALLY cool! This bike has been local SINCE NEW! It has not seen the light of day in decades. It came from a small town here in Wisconsin and was hidden away in a small building behind a very old long closed up Chevrolet dealership! I dug around and found a tool box “hanging” tank, and a unique rear carrier rack at the same location. They MAY have came on this bike new. (see my other listings). The tires are 26×2.125. They are old vintage raised white letter tires and do hold air. The bike has triple step rims front and rear with a Bendix? The bike is an original SINGLE SPEED with coaster brakes. (pedal slightly backwards to stop the bike) DIMENSIONS The stand over height is approx 30. The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 29. The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 19. The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 22. The bike will accommodate most any rider comfortably. The seat height is easy to adjust. NOTED FLAWS It is not 100% flawless but is cool for being 70+ years old! Would need a total resto for show or enjoy it in its current patina! The bike has obviously been repainted. May come off you never know! Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. If you check out the closed listings, these EARLY Schwinn balloon tire bikes simply dont seem to exist. This could be a great way to complete your collection. I seem to find one of these every 5 years or so. I hope you can appreciate this one for what it is! This appears to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted. A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the park or to the beach. Also would be a nice item to display in a shop, restaurant, rec room, sports bar, etc. Stand out from the crowd and be the envy of people who see you riding by. People will enjoy seeing you on your vintage bike! A great classic bike at a great price Why not ride a bike? If you are looking for a fun bike to ride and enjoy this may be it! A nice bike to cruise the beach or your local park! Priced way less than a dime store bike that wont be around 5 years from now, much less 30+ years like this one! Please give this bike a good home and DON’T MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY! Classic bikes are very cool because not everyone on the block has one! People love to see and talk about and ride these classic bikes! They are more popular now than ever before! This may be a great Birthday or other special holiday gift for someone! It is never too soon to think ahead and get someone something they may really like!! These are getting to be hard to find in any condition and to my knowledge, have not been reproduced. PLEASE NOTE that many of the bikes I list have listed have been in long term storage and have not been regularly ridden in a while. (not a bad thing) They may need standard tuning, greasing, may have old tires, surface rust etc. I try to be as honest as possible and never want to disappoint anyone. I try to be as honest as I can and disclose anything I know about the bike. I want you to be excited about your new bike and hope you really enjoy your new vintage ride for years to come. We try to package well so the bike arrives to you in the same condition as it left us. Fed Ex just increased the rates. This is a 10+ day service and includes packing. I always try to keep things as reasonable as I can. The item “1930s ELGIN PREWAR BALLOON TIRE BICYCLE VINTAGE ANTIQUE B10E SCHWINN 1933-1935″ is in sale since Thursday, July 18, 2019.
