Antique C 1900 Black Forest Cuckoo Quail Clock Made in Germany for Sears Roebuck. This cuckoo quail clock measures 20 1/4″ H and 15″ W at the roof. It works fine and has a nice mellow Sound. Strikes on two mellow wire gongs as well as cuckoo and quail calls. The cuckoo bellows will need to be changed at some point. They work now, but are quite old. The top bird had broken off his perch at one time, but has been repaired and repair is not obvious. Otherwise there is a little chip missing off a leaf on the pendulum as well as on the bottom center leaf. The pendulum is unusual with an acorn and leaves. Hands are early celluloid hands and I believe they are original. Cast brass movement stamped Sears Roebuck and Co.
