A shortened British Pattern 1796 small sword, having a 64 cm flattened single fullered blade with a brass hilt with a silver-wired grip and D shaped knuckle bow, 80 cm in total. Blade is etched with owner’s initials and has a “G” maker mark on the ricasso. Brass guard and a knuckle bow has a slight movement, upper quillon is missing. Blade is stained and pitted but nothing major considering age of this piece. Length of the blade with handle: 80.2 cm (31 3/4). Length of the blade without handle: 64.5 cm (25 1/3).
