Original Art Deco vanity set. Metal lids with celluloid. Frosted ribbed glass jars. 13 Pieces (including lids). 2 – 3 3/4″ x 2″ powder jars with lids. 2 – 2 1/4″ x 1 5/8″ jars with lids. 1 – 7 1/2″ x 11″ glass tray with Deco design. 1 – 9 3/4″ x 3 1/4″ brush, silver with celluloid top. 1 – 7 comb with silver metal top. 1 – 12 3/4″ x 5″ hand mirror with celluloid top & beveled edge. 1 – 25 1/2″ x 12″ x 3 hinged case with excellent cover and lining. Presented here is a absolutely gorgeous original Art Deco vanity set. This comes in the original large hinged case, appears to be made of wood covered with a foil, looks like pink and silver poinsettias. The case is excellent with a pale blue satin lining in the bottom and ruched blue satin in the center top surrounded with a pleated pink edge. The inside is all excellent, the outside is outstanding with only minor edge wear, one corner on the back has the finished worn off in a small area. Working metal hinges and closure. The accessories have celluloid tops with a lovely black and silver design of scrolled florals and a silver metal Deco embellishment in the centers. The jars are frosted ribbed glass, the two large jars have floral embossed corners. The mirror is excellent, clear. The tray has minor silver backing wear on the edges, it is not chipped.
